About Us
The Manurewa Community Facilities Charitable Trust (the Trust) was set up in 2010 by the Manukau City Council with the aim of delivering strong leadership and facility management expertise. The hope was to free organisations such as sports clubs or other community groups from concerning themselves with the governance and management of facilities which would enable them to focus on their core purpose.
In 2016 after a number of years a significant redevelopment of the Trust was needed as the community demands for our services changed. In 2017 the Trustees appointed the first CEO and moved to a wider community support role focused on partnering with other groups in Manurewa and providing support services. At this time the Trust also changed it's name to Manurewa Community Trust.
At this time work was begun to help a number of local facilities improve their operations and delivery for their clubs. This work marks a major move in the Trusts role in Manurewa to being a trusted adviser to local funding partners and supportive partner of those clubs who also own and manage their buildings.
